Mid-South Percussion Productions teaches its programs in a one-on-one setting, one student with one teacher per session. Not to be confused with private lessons, our students are always working toward preset set goals that are outlined at the beginning of each semester. However, many of our students team together for ensembles, concerts, joint practice, and idea sharing.
Our programs provide technique and skills development within the following musical categories: Concert (Symphony & Chamber styles) as well as Commercial Music (Rock to Jazz). Our programs are a year long. The year is divided into four semesters, three months each. The semesters are organized with goals for each lesson, determined at the beginning of the period. Then of course, adjustments in lesson advancement are made based on progress.
